I found this chapter from an old work of mine, DECK, after rummaging through my digital files hidden in my ancient external HDD. I think I haven't uploaded this here yet, and decided to, since it won't see the light of the day if I keep it inside my device.

Btw, this chapter is the reason I decided to switch to novel writing. I did this alone for eight months using pen-and-paper, scanner and photoshop, only to be read at max for about 15 minutes (or even less)?

Read from right to left, just like your usual manga.

It looks pretty cool.
Were you hiding it for any particular reason, or did you just forget about it?
It has its imperfections, but this alone already looks better than 90% comics I see nowadays (I know the bar's not that high, but just take it as a compliment).
Would've been a waste to let it be lost to time :P

Well, I switched to novel writing, since I realized, I badly need assistants if I want to produce a chapter each month.

I have the money, but not the assistant I wanted, since I'm kind of wary of taking in strangers I meet online.

This one, titled DECK, became a novel I published in 2016 but removed it in 2019 to rewrite. Novel writing is easier compared to manga/graphic novel, and I can produce several volumes of manuscripts in the period I created this sole chapter (8 months).

@RobBanks I have later GN chapters, though for another story.

Yeah, that's comprehensible.
Drawing by yourself is hard work. But it's still cool you could share your old stuff. Personally, it feels kinda cringe looking back at old projects we did after just a year or so, be it writing or whatever, so it takes some guts sharing that with everyone, which I think is admirable.

Best of luck, in any case. All that matters is finding a way you like to tell the story. If you write, you write. If you draw, you draw. If it feels right, you can always do one, then the other when you have more backup/time. I've gladly bought manga for LN series I already owned before for the sheer fact that I loved the story itself so much.

But your profile pic shows you can draw.
*snort* The irony is, before the coma I could draw. Now I cannot draw a straight line to save my life. I mean it. I cannot draw a straight line. It is physically impossible. I did a stick figure comic for a while. ROT. It was the bitter scribblings of a broken artist. Kinda funny. It's how I realized I could write. The drawings, terrible. The script, funny.
