Terrible novel idea my brain came up with at like 4 in the morning.

Alright, first post in a while, but I had too. It starts as a generic fantasy novel, small town boy yada yada but throughout volume 1 every now and then sprinkle in some modern idioms. Like “it’s raining cats and dogs” and “thrown under the bus” and at the end of volume 1 someone finally asks the question of where they come from. The rest of the volumes are them learning about the mysteries of a previous era. If someone finds this interesting hit that like and subscribe button.

Actually ... that's not a bad idea. it will be a comedy with one character just saying nonsense but somehow it makes sense and the other 'the sense one' keeps shouting "What the F is that even mean!"

I was thinking more mystery, like the sayings are just ingrained into society and no one questions where they come from.

If you can nail the worldbuilding then go for it, it sounds more compelling than power fantasy harem fics we get on the daily
