The Yuri Garden's first anthology finished releasing yesterday and I've decided to put up a description of each of the stories to help readers decide if they want to read it or not. However, I've been writing them for days and it's getting hard to judge if they're any good.
I would strongly appreciate someone else's judgement.
Below are the current descriptions for the nine stories.
To Be a Princess (There Must First Be Pain):
Princesses don’t cry. This is the one rule for royalty in Corde Femmes. Vervain has known since she was a child that her fate is to be kidnapped by the Demon Queen, like all princesses before her, and saved after a year is up. It’s the only way to appease the goddess, Feuvert. But when her summoned hero sneers at the task before her and refuses to follow tradition, Vervain fears that Feuvert’s wrath will destroy them all.
Met Her Match:
Joy has it all: she’s beautiful, she’s successful, and she’s one half of the UK showbiz scene’s lesbian power couple. That’s why she’s Adaaku’s rival. At least, that’s what Adaaku tells herself. She swears it has nothing to do with being snubbed on Tinder all those years ago. When targeted bullying leaves Adaaku crying alone in a bathroom, however, it’s Joy who comes to save her.
Yes, You Should:
The humans and the Fae have long been mortal enemies, isolated from each other despite how close their villages lie. When a commitment-phobic playgirl rescues a beautiful human woman and brings her home to treat her, trouble is inevitable.
the week I loved you:
Nicole is Helen’s only and dearest friend. She’s fashionable, responsible and very caring – even if she is a little weird. As strange rumours start at school and Helen’s parents continue to argue about matters that she doesn’t understand, Nicole and Helen enjoy a week unlike any other in their friendship.
Muirgen:
On their sixth anniversary, an explosion stole their lives. Tristan was still reeling from the loss of his wife when he was reborn as Muirgen, the plain daughter of minor nobility. What was waiting for him was not a life of cheats or glory, nor magic and epic sword fights, but exploitation at the hands of a father that society dictated owned him. Just as he had lost all hope, an unexpected second chance arrives through a political marriage to the queen of the dark elves.
Silent Mafia boss X Princess turned into Consigliere:
A sneak peak into the dark but fluffy love between a mafia leader and the ex-princess she rescued.
A True (And Weird) Love Story (A Girls Love Harem Short Story by Bokuboy):
After a drunken mistake drives a wedge between two best friends, Gloria seems to be the only one heartbroken about it. All she wants is to be left alone, but a group of peculiar women at college have been following her around ever since.
The Heart is a Sea:
Mermaids are beautiful – everyone knows that. But at what point does admiring them become something more? Skye has been wrestling with that question for almost the whole thirteen years of her life. After a chance encounter with a mermaid who claims to be human-sexual, Skye strikes a bargain that might finally bring her closer to getting the answers that she needs. Unfortunately, her heart might be the price she pays.
[My Adorable, my precious, together…]:
Some little girls might have been jealous if their father had brought home a genius to be their new sister, but not Elizabeth. Liz is ecstatic to have the little sister that she’s always dreamed of. An absent father and fussing servants can’t stop the two girls from becoming close – closer than sisters should be, some might say – but, as Liz nears the age for marriage, their bond and all that they treasure could become collateral damage.
I would strongly appreciate someone else's judgement.
