So I made an interesting discovery that I'd like to share with you. Also because of this insight, I want to <<Request 'Survival' be added to the Genre tags>. Survival isn't currently in the genre tags. At least not in the ones that are limited where you can only have...something like under 10.

When I write a story, I like to make it as believable as possible. I want to also transition from this reality to the new reality and thinking of what the Isekai world would be, etc. This means, taking it sort of like a slow buildup as the main character discovers piece by piece how this new world is different. I feel like its so much more interesting to get into the head of the main character this way.

But this type of thinking isn't actually how most people do it. Most people are doing their story like, <Such and such becomes the strongest!> The strongest Mage. The strongest Warrior. The ... guy that barely has to swing his sword and thousands fall over dead. Sort of like that. This is basically a psychological point in how people write a story. I'm not putting this group down. I'm trying to explain how writing psychology affects how the plot is structured. There's nothing wrong with doing it either way.

Where I'm going with this is that many people don't get this part. They haven't noticed it. And because they haven't, it has sort of been missed that <Survival> can be a main aspect of the story and be a main genre tag. The person CAN be a survivalist and a magic user. Or a harem guy. Or whatever. You can blend these.

But the readers can be helped to see that a story can have survival as a main plot attribute. And I feel like this is a very valuable PLOT genre that some people haven't fully used. I also want to help readers understand when they pick up a story... OK its not a character flaw or a story flaw if the main character can't slay a dragon yet in Chapter 5 of the beginning of the story. Its because I'm trying to draw out the survival plot parts of the story.

This is why readers would be helped a lot if SURVIVAL was added to be able be used as a genre tag. It would also help writers from getting negative marks when someone starts reading a story and doesn't understand, 'its supposed to be hard'. Because its a survival plot.

<There's also this thing where it gets so exciting when you are reading the story and there's so much suspense and fear that you practically feel the sweat coming off your (you as the MC) forehead as you stare death in the face.>

Thank you for listening! :)

No, if it needs to be added it should be a Tag (one of the ones that limits you to 20). I can see the argument for it being a genre, but it's too redundant with other genres.

Edit: Nevermind, it's Here.

Just add something in the title or the disclaimer saying that it would be a hardcore series without plot armor
