Hello, Im new here and Like the title says, What is the standard length of chapters and styles on this website? I want to gain some traction but I'd also like to respect the style and culture this website has!

I'm looking to find a group of people that love my stories as much as I do so learning the algorithm and styles here would be nice.

Any tips and tricks are welcome! Also, If you need the book in question to look at tags, Chapter size or word count, Here it is. https://www.scribblehub.com/series/1225568/the-price-of-freedom/

This a No Man's Land s*it, you better read some novels on the trending lists just so you can grasp what's good and what's on the garbage can. Usually, as long as you're not cringe and don't overdo stuff, you'll be fine.

The Standard? This is a webserial site mostly so the quality is poor honestly. And the few people who bother to proofread and edit their writing constantly are just that "few". So you may find good works here and there, but like most other platforms, it is mostly trash.
As for advertising, I realized that being on the forum and just being fairly active is enough. There is not much else you can do anyway.

You could also do review swaps as I have learned recently, and I am up for one. Wanna do that?

You do you. Standard length of MOST novels here lie around 1k - 2k. 3k is long already, but there are others whose chapters reach 4k and above and still net readers...like me.

Contrary to some other sites that we'll have to hide its Royal Road name, this site is more open to genres other than litRPG, so just write your stuff. Also, if you are looking to interact with people here, just don't be ass, and you'll be fine for most of the time. (There are a few who are looking for trouble every time they post, but just ignore them and you're good)

People? Yes, you can find them. Algorithm? No one knows, we can only guess based on observations.

There is no standard. Preferred style is probably JP WN or LN style.
I see! What are the differences between these styles? I'm very curious.

What would you constitute as "cringe" or "overdone?"
I have always been a sort of going against the flow type for better or for worse, This should come naturally for me I suppose! Your input is much appreciated!

I'd love to do that! That's such a good reminder as well, I totally have to proof read my things... I just feel like it'll make me so slow... But alas, I want to make high quality content and grow so its the least I can do, My readers deserve better! ?

That makes total sense! It's nice to know that I've been writing above the average and that I can relax a little bit, Kind of easing into this whole writing thing! Haha!
You seem very wise, Thanks for your input!

WN and LN aren't that much different. The main point, easy to read prose. Less description, more dialogues, more tropes from JP novels and manga, overall less serious tone and more comedy, and so on. If you haven't read them I would recommend to do it. Also, if you really want to get at least remotely popular, I would listen to Hopper's advise and read trending. Or at least check them out.

No offence to any parties included, but when you go against the flow a bit too hard, you end up like this.
Barely any views, barely any readers, no reviews, 20 or so comments across all chapters. So think carefully what you want to do.

Yes, you can even observe the same author (me) and see what happens.

I added GL subplot to OP Witch when the story was already popular, so it doesn't have to be GL

I see! Not to self promote but my book which is on chapter 3 has around 100 views and 6 readers, Are these good signs of not going too hard against the grain?

So it seems like, By what you said, Popular novels om this site focus more on character interactions and buldimv?
