Splitting collab chapters?

Hey, so I'm working with two other authors on a collab universe. Basically, it's one total family, but we're splitting them into 3 groups (the parents, older kids, younger kids, all are over 18).

Would it be acceptable for me to have the first three chapters which set up the universe and introduce how it's different from ours with the parents, then from chapters 4 onward, have it be on the profile of the primary writer for that group? doing this, I would have parents chapters 1-3, then writer 2 would have chapters 4+, while I started up my group's story.

Or would it be better aligned with the site's rules for writer 2 to have the 3 chapters I wrote on her profile, then I simply post my group, but with novel links in the description?

I am sorry because this come of as dumb, cause I am too sleepy and my reading comprehension ability as of now is same as wet concrete post

But my understanding is that you have a story that is family group project and post it in various accounts.....?(Its wierd but unique concept which is why I wanna make sure I got it right)

Like Isn't it better for you know create a ID in your family name and post it there, so readers won't have to juggle back and forth

Since its your family just give it your family name, Introduce the concept how it works and introduce the authors in description

Agreed. It's better to have the entire story in one work than divided up.

we, the authors, are not related. We're not even from the same countries. The characters are a blended family. it's a shared universe between us. Writer 2 will be writing the parents, writer 1 (me) will be writing the youngest son (and his various girlfriends), and writer 3 will be writing the eldest son (and his two wives).

It started as a request for me to write a specific encounter for a one shot, but kind of blossomed out into a full world.

It'll be three separate stories with shared characters. Mine will be main in mine and minor side characters for the other two. and same for them.

the issue is that it's three different stories focusing on different characters. One book focuses on the parents, another book focuses on the eldest children. and the final focuses on the youngest. it's not one continuous story.

Each author could post one book & make use of notes explaining it's a collaboration. Then you could link to the other books in the series.

Ahhh I knew something was wrong with my understanding

Then the best course of action will be writing your story to its fullest and just use the 'shared universe tag' and drop those stories and explain it in description or summary properly.

The other two should also do the same.
