... tastes like grass. Yeah, shocking. Yesterday Ai-chan was dared to eat grass, and Ai-chan did. Of course, Ai-chan chose wild grass, cleaned them properly and started munching. You have to make sure it's free from herbicide because herbicide tastes bad. Ai-chan would know, Ai-chan once drank herbicide because the caterer was a cheap jerk who used the same container he used to store herbicide in to store cordial drinks. We promptly terminated his contract, but the damage was done. The entire office called in sick for a week and continued their holiday all the way until after Christmas and since new year was just around the corner, our boss just gave us all vacation until after new year.
Back to the topic, grass tastes very much like grass. If you guys in SEA or East Asia have ever eaten kucai (not sure what it's called where you are), it tastes more or less like that, except it's harder to chew grass and grass can be pretty hard and sharp in your mouth. You can instead boil them for half an hour to soften them up, then pound them into mush, but they're still not anywhere near gourmet. But if you have nothing else to eat, you can use Ai-chan's tips to fill your stomach.
The grass in your lawn is getting tall and there's nothing in your fridge? No problem, just get on all fours and start eating all those juicy grass in your lawn. After all, if you don't eat your own grass, who will?
