Problem
Reviews do not allow for paragraphs making it hard to read. Why are paragraphs not allowed? Seriously? :blob_shock:

Solution
Allow paragraphs, one of the best writing structures ever invented to separate blocks of thoughts, so that text doesn't get forcibly jammed together.

Paragraphs are so good. They're so good.

Also, are paragraphs really not allowed? That's new to me tbh.

I have taken paragraphs for granted my entire life. Now that I am forced to live without them I realize what I've lost. I even struggled to write this feature request because I could only awkwardly explain ... THERE ARE NO PARAGRAPHS ALLOWED

My brain just started to fizzle out and I panicked a bit. It's a dark world.

I experienced this once on a roleplaying site I was part of. :blob_no::blob_no::blob_no:

It was a truly horrifying experience!

Which browser are you using? I just tested it and it's working for me.

Random novel I picked from trending: https://www.scribblehub.com/series/30911/monarch-of-heavens-wrath/ and it's showing paragraphs.

I need to be able to recreate the bug on my side to be able to fix it so please explain how you're recreating that bug. Thanks!

Which browser are you using? I just tested it and it's working for me.

I am using Firefox Quantum 69.0.1 (64-bit)

There are so many different browsers and the world of programming for the internet and websites is a complete mystery to me. It seems hard. I'll just slink away and hide in my C languages.

I see that on other reviews there appears to be paragraphs. So it's me (It's always me ... Do you see how many threads I have in the suggestions and bugs section!!!) I hope it's not wasting your time. I didn't know it was just my firefox browser and now that I do I could always just go use chrome ... okay nevermind. Chrome Version 77.0.3865.120 (Official Build) (64-bit) created the same issue for me. Is it like my computer or something?

When I edit my review and separate the paragraphs in it's like all the newlines get deleted once I save. Then the text gets condensed and there are no paragraph spaces anymore.

Hmmm. It seems to just be me ... what's wrong with my computer! TBH I think we should just mark this thread as resolved because I don't think that it's really worth spending the time on to figure it out if it's just me.

I've actually experienced this sporadically before, so I don't think you're imagining it!

Umm... come back another day, and maybe you will be able to add line breaks! :blob_joy::blob_joy::blob_joy:

I would rather fix it if it's possible to recreate the bug. If it's happening to you, it's most likely happening to someone else.

Can I ask you a few questions?
  1. How many times have you pressed the "Enter" key on your keyboard to start a new paragraph? Did you only try pressing the enter key once? Is it only broken after the first "Enter" key press?
(I was going to list more but I forgot them :sweating_profusely:)

It seems like the first enter key is recognized. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like.

No matter how many times I press the enter key afterwards in my edit it always looks like this. So it only ever registers 1 press.
