Consider adding the writer's self-promotion forum sub-section to either the "readers" or "authors" section of the forum.
Equivalent of the "Creations" section where the artists (as it, visual art) could promote their work, but for writers, allowing them to promote / market their work.
Should be separate from "Story Feedback" section. The "Story Section" invites people to complain, and discourage writers from continuing, not to stay and read.
The "Story / Novel Self-Promotion" section should allow the authors to showcase their work and invite the readers to read.
The additional tags, like translations or AI assisted ones, would only create the division between the actual writers and create the chain of false accusations which would further damage the site and its community. We don't need witch hunts for supposed "AI" that no one could agree on what it even means.
One simple thread where the writer promotes his own work, without being insulted or criticised, is by far the most cost effective solution (i.e. costs you nothing) to bring the story in front of the reader instead of endlessly complaining about the bots or automated updates dominating the trending list.
Yes, the bots could post of the forum too, but it is unlikely for them to do so when they could dominate the trending list by sheer volume of updates, and posting here would make the bots easier to spot than arguing who is who inside the novel section's. The writers would have the easy way to get the attention they need, and readers wouldn't have to comb through the algorithm output. It's not perfect, but it doesn't require any special effort, as opposed to the complex filtering and tagging process, just a common decency of the forum users.
