Hey guys I would like to ask what are the steps to succeed on this platform. I recognize that I have to be consistent with the posting schedule but if I am unable to attract anyone to read the story I don't think numerous chapters would convince people to read the story. To be honest I would like to hear what other people think of the story and other related things like setting, plot, progression, etc.

Luck plays a big part in success, you can do things to help it, but it will depend on what you mean by "success".
Write what is mainstream that would attract more views.
Use a female character on your cover.
A real schedule with at least one chapter per week.
Stockpile chapters before starting to publish, and when you start, post a chapter per day. You will appear frequently on the update page and gain views.
A good synopsis.
A good grammar.
And finally, your story itself, how the plot attire the reader and how much they want to read the rest of it and wait for it.

Not again...

How much of this kind of question will appear in the future...?

Look, if no one's paying attention to your goddamn chaps, then troubleshoot it. Find out the reason why people's interests aren't at your work. Is it the grammar? The difficult-to-perceive sentences? The way some part of the work was written? Or is it because the audience you aimed for barely exists?

That's the main thing a writer should do when they gather fewer readers, just like Programmers. You think I don't debug my apps? And don't get me started with how easy it is for me to miss such a simple solution right before my eyes. I suffer a lot from it.

Things about how the site you're publishing on works, when is the traffic usually busy, etc, is all optional. And don't forget to promote your work on Discord or to your friends.

Goodness... I hope someone IRL guides you on how to gather readers. Cause I damn know I can't.

They will keep coming as long as new bloods kept getting introduced, it's that burst of inspiration and motivation after reading a good novel or hearing a good song.

They keep coming as long as they believe they can make it.....their stories can make it, as long as it get proper exposure. So they seek shortcut for those exposure

These ones will die down pretty quick

I admit, I hate these f*ckers.

I wouldn't be too harsh to them tho, but... A kettle can't keep the hot steam inside of it forever.

Despite my depressing bullshits, I would ask you not take these comments as negative.

It's just that these guys are here for long time and seen this same question and given answer to it again and again, so it comes of as spam and annoying.

I recommend reviewing the information Sailus provided. In the future, try searching through the threads first if you have additional questions. There's a good chance that someone has already asked the same question, and you'll find your answers there

Nevermind some peeps around here, boredom can really get to them.

So anyway, as Indicterra said, try looking for answers in the older threads via search feature. Just type in some keywords and read through the posts.

As for your question, as Sleds said, it is by luck. I know peeps here who found success in this site, but their stories were ignored in others. My experience is it's due to the audiences of every site. But yeah, you did say you already know the basics, so just do it and wait for results. It's a gamble anw.

Asking questions is always welcomed, as is in education (I'm a teacher).

People here would eat anything even if its niche af, just have a good plotline, concistent quality and upload. What's important is timezone, try posting chapters at different time and analyze which one work best for you, it may take a few weeks but its necessary.

I write with the help of dice ffs.
