I've been searching for some time and I couldn't find anything remotely close to a review swap thread here. Which is... weird, to say the least. I thought those were a thing everywhere. All I can find is feedback threads. Anyone knows if I'm missing something or there really isn't such a thing as a review swap thread?

This is just my hunch why review swaps aren't a thing on SH. Review swaps aren't really for reviews but for swapping high scores. Yeah, low scores sometimes crop up, but those lead to drama. Whether they like it or not, swappers will mostly give high scores. Now, in SH, people don't really care about ratings so there's really no review swaps. Just feedback threads for those wanting to improve their writing.

So yeah. SH does pretty much only Feedback threads.

Review swaps don't really happen here, because,
1) Most people here are really chill. I feel like its your more likely to get someone to review a story before you even ask for a swap.
2) Feedback threads, kind of the job of "I want my story to be criticised", better than swaps.
3) (Probably the biggest reason) Reviews aren't important on scribble. Unlike other sites, where rating and reviews is how you get on the front page, scribble hub isn't exactly like that. From my understanding, they don't help much in boosting a story's popularity.

This is correct.

Plus, on mobile, you have to go on a separate tab just to read reviews. Just a small factor why reviews aren't that important.

Yeah.
Really, the only way to get more front-page time is to be listed as "Trending," which has proven rather resilient to manipulation despite the simplicity of how it seems to be calculated.

Who bothers to go to the series page and scroll to the bottom to check the reviews?
Mostly just people who just posted a review.

I find it cheesy and I'm lazy. I've also learned that other people's opinions don't matter much unless it's consistent across a swath of readers. I tried to do a feedback thread but my brain melted and the effort to pleasure ratio wasn't up my alley.

There will be drama if you give ME a high score. I only want one-star ratings.

Tell me. I have a 124 chapter monster at 285k words.

You going to read it and give me a detailed breakdown of every flaw and mistake? Because I want an actual review, like krimson rogue reviews a book, not to get jerked off.

Felt. I am of the same mind with my first volume now.

If I want a review, I want it after all 70 chapters. Not at chapter 20 when I've barely touched anything.

Okay so basically people don't give a crap about the score part, so they just go to the feedback part.
That's a weird thing for me coming from RR but at least you don't suffer that badly from low-score gifting pricks that much, I suppose

Rating(score) matters. It's reviews that don't matter as much. If you have, for example, one or two 1-star reviews, it won't matter at all if you have 50+ 5-star ratings.
