Review Request: Ascendant Legacy

Hey guys,

I've just begun posting my web novel, Ascendant Legacy, here on SH. I've got 19 chapters up so far and I've had a pretty consistent daily update rate. I've finished about 58k words so far. That doesn't leave a lot of time for proofreading/editing, so I'm always looking for feedback and critiques!

Please let me know what you think! Any and all feedback is welcome! I don't view criticisms of my work as criticisms of myself, so I use it to improve!

Woaahhh. Chunky paragraphs. Aside from that, I'd say its pretty good.
Re-reading your work and trying to kick yourself down based on what you've written is a pretty good way to improve your writing though. Maybe try that as well.

Though personally, I don't think you should be writing a chapter a day. If you don't have time to re-read and see how well the chapters work together, that'll just ruin the quality of the story in the long run.

I'm not sure what you mean by chunky paragraphs. Most of them are 4-6 sentences long which is pretty standard. I'm new to SH though, so maybe that isn't the norm here?

Overall, I agree a chapter a day isn't a good update rate in the long run - I'm looking to finish Book 1 and do some heavy edits, then jump into Book 2 at a more reasonable rate.
