Defiance of the Fall does it, Nova Terra Titan tried and flunk it, most xianxia MCs can dynasty warrior the f out of it. The notion of being an one man army is one of the many wet dreams, just like how there are so many jade beauties in the world and they are all aiming a ride on your laps.
The talk between OP is a quality and quantity is a quality has always been a stern debate to me, solely because the authors have the habit called Plot Armor. For instance, the Human Emperor's Wang Chong once debated that an army can pwn any pugilists with ease. A hundred chapters later he fugging Muhd. Ali-ed the opposing forces of a thousand, one man one horse one sword style. Then shits got loose with everyone in MC party doing the same shit and completely shoving the "army rule" to just the opposing side.
Then came Defiance of the Fall and Nova Terra showing some common sense, with the MCs nearly dead (Mr X died though, but since it is a VRMMORPG, he got better) because of accumulated injuries and fatigue. These common ailments are such a rarity to be mentioned that I noticed only two works that I read made a cautious mention to those trying to OMA it. Yet thanks to Plot Armor, I see those works' MCs charging in and out with rhythm absolutely fine.
So what do you think about these blatent disregard of the self imposed rules? Seriously, Power of Friendship to gangbang the monster of the week is so Sentai, dammit.
