Honestly, the number of ‘Depressing As Fuck’ stories out there (looking at you Violet Evergarden) is high indeed. As for writing ‘similar’ to them, I don’t know what to tell you: much of the strength of the first of those works is in the cinematic, and I don’t know the latter myself.

But… Let’s Not [Obliterate] sure made me cry a lot.
