My novel doesn't show up in search when I add the '

So my series, "Elysium's Multiverse", doesn't show up in the search bar whenever I get to the ' in "Elysium's". Not sure how to fix this or how to go about doing it, but there are a lot of other novels with the word "Elysium" in it and not showing up in search properly could be bad. Anything we can do about this?

Is your story newly published? Could still be waiting for approval from the SH gods.

In all fairness its probably NOT that or someone would have raised hell already. You might have a new or muted book on your hands.

Or the search handler may think youre trying to crash the site and swiper no swiping'd you. maybe try \' instead of just ' and see what happens.

Maybe an HTML entity like ' as well but i don't think so.

There are two different ' characters, and the search bar sees them as different.

However, the font used on SH shows them as identical, which makes it hard to tell.

If you try copying the title and pasting it in the search bar, it should show up. (which isn't useful, but can serve as proof)

I just tried copying the title and pasting it, and it still doesn't show up. At all. Which is very weird. It shows up further down the list when I just search "Elysium", but as soon as the ' is involved it ghosts the system completely

I see what you mean. The search bar doesn't seem to like apostrophes in general.
Never noticed this before, but the same thing happens to other stories with apostrophes.

it's happened to me .. when I removed apostrophes .. the story got gosted for 12 hours .. I think it's some algorithms monitoring issue ...

Tony (the admin and owner of the site) does read all the bug reports.

I don't think there is anything more you can do about this issue. At most you might send him an e-mail (his e-mail is listed on the "Contact Us" portion of the homepage) if you want.

Im also having the same issue with my light novel, "The Art of War: Pimps and Robbers." It doesn't show up anywhere unless I look in my reading section. It doesn't show up in series or anywhere else. Not even in the search results or the ranking anymore.

Did you wait at least 24h since you posted it? Novels aren't publicly visible until then.

The thing is it was showing everywhere at first. Then it stopped. But maybe you're right. Maybe in some more hours it will show. Only time will tell. Thanks.

Well, its been over 24 hours. The chapters from my story are still not showing in the search or in the ranks. If my stories were not approved, the question is, why?

I deleted the series off of the website, as I decided not to post it. It was the first book I ever wrote anyways which was during the lockdowns and I didn't know what I was doing. I basically made the book as I was reading a book on how to write fiction novels and short stories. If you do read it let me know how you like it and what you think about it. I'm always interested in what you or anyone else thinks about my work.
Oh, and I called it a light novel by mistake. It probably would be considered a novella. Because I think Light novels use Japanese story telling techniques.
