Making Sure My Next Story Does Not Disappear Into the Abyss of Content Not Seen

Hello. I published a series called The Art of War: Pimps and Robbers. I decided to delete it because I could not get ahold of anyone to see why the series disappeared from everywhere except my personal reading list, and I also felt like the story would be far too unrelatable to the audience on this web site, so I took it down not to offend anyone or turn people off to future stories. I don't know for sure, but I think it may have been not approved due to mature themes and content. Although, I cannot be certain because customer support won't respond although I've emailed them twice. My question is, if in fact my story was not disapproved for reasons such as the content, then how will I be able to make sure that when I decide to post another story this won't happen once again? Thanks to all those here willing to help me.

The link has almost everything you need to know about SH. As for your question, I will simply quote a part from the tutorial.

When you release your first series, it has to be manually approved. Until then, you can access it and edit it to your liking, but others won't see it and its stats regarding views, and all won't register, not even if you start linking it for others. After review and getting the green light, it will appear on the front page, amongst the "Latest Series" tab.

Usually it takes less than 24 hrs for approval, but sometimes it can take longer.

What Sailus said, and if you put the content warnings there should be no problem.

It's extremely unlikely that you offended someone. If you are nervous about uploading on the site, then there's only one thing you can do: familiarize yourself with it.

Read other people's stories, read the tutorial linked above, Search through the forums for similar topics and stories, and maybe even interact with potential readers.

Once you know your audience, you'll understand how to appeal to them.

Deleting your story before a mod can see and review it won't help.

Thank you kindly for all the helpful advice you all have given me here. It's too late as I have already deleted the series, but I'll keep this all in mind for next time. I also look forward to becoming a valuable member of the site and forum community. Much love from Memphis, TN. : )
