Hey everyone!! :D

I'm looking for advice on how to create a map for a fantasy world, but I don't have any artistic skills, and I’d prefer not to do any drawing. Is there any free software or online tools that can help me design a map easily, perhaps with pre-made assets or templates? I’m hoping for something that doesn’t require advanced skills but still allows me to create a visually appealing and functional map.

Or, if anyone is willing to lend a hand directly, that would be even better! :D

Thanks in advance for any suggestions! :D

I might be wrong about how useful this will be for you, but the project caught my interest with its possibilities. It’s been in my bookmarks for a while now, but I haven’t had time to explore it: https://nookrium.itch.io/mappa-imperium

I use Azgaar.github.io for maps, Fantasynamegenerators.com for names, and pure imagination and hard study for anything else.

edit: Also want to say that Azgaar's is entirely free, has a lot of functionality (you can change the geography, manually alter the landscape and political zones, etc etc). It can be a little slow, but it's run entirely in your browser. I use it for most of my stories. the attached map was actually made on that tool.

I use Inkarnate, then combine Photoshop with the final result from that site.

End is this:

The only Photoshopped effect there is the Old Map effect. Rest is Inkarnate.
