You can always email him, but if you are consistent in uploads you will gain readers regardless.
I know, it's just sad, more people could have seen it right away. And if I wrote to him what is the real probability that he would do something about it? And should I use the "contact us" button on the bottom or some different method, because I wasn't able to find any email of some kind.

Even if he did something, visibility on the first upload does not guarantee readers because many authors abandon their stories before the 20 chapter mark.
If you want readers, write consistently.

Yeah, what RepresentingEnvy said. Just keep writing and you should be able to get the popularity that showing in a more prominent position would have given you.
My most recent story was very obvious for a good while, but all the views were gotten from me promoting it jubilantly to all the awesome friends on SH.
