You know the typical isekai, where the MC alone is transported to another world. How about the reverse happens, the other world gets merged with our own, transforming people, society and the environment into that similar to an isekai.

Yes yes, I know this idea isin't new, but I really want to try my hand in it. Especially the military side of things. What would the governments and their military react when the people they were supposed to protect, and their own personnel, turn into mythological beings like dwarves, elfs and other demi humans? How would the world adjust after "Day Zero" Starts (yes thats the name I have in mind for that story). So I ask of this fellow authors, since I have never really any experience with worldbuilding especially one of this grandeur, can you give me some insignts or ideas on how the governments will react to an event such as this?

I can't imagine much changing in terms of how organizations act, but perhaps if they gain abilities related to the respective races then they might be rearranged to put guys turned into dwarves on a production line and the like. Elves could become recon and special ops.
I suppose pilots lucky enough to become dragons could at least beat jets in terms of maneuverability, and they could even use fire breath as a substitute for flares.

Depends on how invasive and abrupt the merging is - society completely collapsed when a fantasy world and 1980s Earth merged in "Ariel: A Book of the Change" because technology at some point just below a bicycle gear shifter all stopped working as a result.
But in others the results were minimal; I suppose the novels and TV series for Alien Nation could be seen as a form of this world merging (but technological instead of magical), and a story I started writing about a magical world merging with ours (scrapped partly after reading the first Alien Nation novel and realizing I was just writing a magical-based version of the same story - though, 20 years later Bright came out and seemed to be even more of the same) would have shown it: A few weeks of chaos and then occasional culture shock but mostly acceptance and "life goes on" - though the leveled racism that pervades African literature of the early and mid 20th Century (even during the fall of Apartheid, South Africa "tiered" their social levels with "White" at the top and about seven levels of increasingly darker skin ranked below that, and then those of Indian ancestry at the absolute bottom) would probably be a part of it, with the new arrivals being put below everyone else - if they have special powers, "just to keep them in their place" and if not because they are just weaker.
It could be a good way to make a "We have made progress but are still monsters at heart" socio-political statement, actually, if that is what the author intends.

Read: Paladin Dad

Very good example.
It will help you.

Also it show a particular problem : How to write the ending is a big clusterfuck problem. (paladin dad directly skipped/didnt show/rushed ending)

I think your best way to see how governments and people would react would be to study how nations react to immigrants. Some people would be wholly accepting, others mostly accepting of certain ones, hostile to others, some hostile to all.
I would expect 'Sundown Towns', aka, they are allowed to be there during the day, but better be gone come nightfall.

The Mercedes Thompson series by Patricia Briggs starts some years after the Fae declare themselves publicly and talks about the riots, discrimination and the creation of reservations to house them. Later the Werewolves go public. In later books they mention the government agency created to oversee the supernatural races. Several groups, races have not gone public and the reaction if they were known about is also brought up.

Well this is considered spoilers but the best example of that is Shadow Slave thought you'll have to read close to 2k chapters to even understand it. Sadly I'm only on volume 2 in my story and world shattering events of the heaven falling from the sky (literally) happens at the end of 7 (or at least around that time) which marks the end of the first half and begins the next volumes in line in this 'new' world, so since I haven't reached that point, I can't really give any advice. Sorry.

Laws would be a mess. If I get in a fight with and shoot a Beastmam, is that attempted murder or animal cruelty ?‍♂️?

That depends how far along the furry scale that world is, if you are unfamiliar with the scale it ranges from 1 to bestiality.

I'm currently doing that and it's basically the apocalypse so a government would treat it as such. But if the apocalypse is too fast the government would probably collapse.

If they are different at all they will be treated differently, shunned, stigmatized, ostracized. Look at how we treat genders, races, sexuality, religion.

Depends if you're going the people become x race or are swapped with the people of that other world route.
If it's becoming x race then there's physical needs and possible new instincts they might have. These could force certain races to become hostile, neutral or even side with their own government or a different one. I mean if they go into a rage after changing or can only live under water.

Governments and other large groups will either respond, fail to alert people, use it as an excuse to do certain things, blame certain groups, create camps to separate the changed from the unchanged. Might even favor certain races over others.

If our world's physics change then something as simple as a vinegar and baking soda mix might do nothing or create plastic explosives. Electronics might fail and other forms of communication like radio might be affected. Which means governments can't do anything to respond quickly. Leaving the population to their own devices. Many governments will probably collapse because a lot of money, factories and transportation needs electronics.

Day zero, people will probably die, police might attack the sudden group of 'werewolves'. People changed and unchanged will attack either from fear, self defense or from confusion. And depending on how magic works (if you put it in) people might accidentally blow each other up with a fireball.
