Is it just coincidence?

I've been suspicious about something for a while. Small deal, but a bit important for me to know.
Do readers get any updates for new chapters if the chapters released are done by automatic scheduling?
Does the novel also show up differently (or not at all) in the recently updated list when publishing by schedule?
Reason I ask is, my view stats seem to flatline to zero anytime I do not manually publish any chapters. I'm not big enough yet to be sure, but I figure it's faster to ask if anyone knows whether there is a difference in the update system between the two options. It would bother me if there were a difference.

There shouldn't be any difference. It's either some kind of bug, or just a coincidence. In fact, I'm pretty sure the vast majority of popular authors schedule their chapters, so handicapping them would be stupid.

I personally scheduled all of my chapters except a few, and there was no meaningful difference in views when I didn't.

Then it must be coincidence, which I'm happy with.

Some scheduled chapters don't show up sometimes in the latest chapter section but they do show up in your reading list.
I've had issues with this the last 10 or so chapters I've published. I do all mine by schedule, and my chapters have stopped showing up in recently updated until after it's off the first page, usually off the second as well. And it sucks, because it REALLY handicaps my views.

So you too huh? Coincidence or no, I think it's worth passive investigation.

I would suggest reporting it as a bug, especially when (as this thread shows) it happens for more than a single author.
Agreed. I thought it was just strange luck, but if it's more than just me...
