I am completely reworking my novel

I posted the prologue for my first (published) novel a while ago and lost inspiration for it but I decided to completely change the concept... by changing the main character! The main character isn't going to be the evil god it will be a boy the gods chose to take the evil gods place. I feel like this will improve the story by giving me something to write about while making the Main character someone the readers can relate to.
This will include a new title, new cover, and changed synopsis. I am keeping the prologue because I think it does a good job of portraying how bad the evil god is... don't worry the evil god won't be disappearing
I will be using AI for the cover because I'm broke... unless someone feels generous I can post all the failed ai attempts in order if you guys want

Which one should I use as the cover? Or should I try again?

I don't think either of those will make a particularly compelling cover.

Random kid with sword doesn't inspire a click. Not sure what I'd do instead, but I'd maybe try a few other designs before settling.

Think of something that, someone want to click your story. Anything based from a scene in your story (if you don't want a clickbait). Or you know... The typical degenerate ways some manga covers.

Well, you'll probably need to sort out the story itself. Onxe you've done that you can get a good idea of what title might suit it.

I'm afraid this does not solve the fundamental issue of "random kid with a weird sword". I would argue it's even worse by having a random kid with a demonic sword, looking all casual on the backdrop of... burning landscape?
The kid does not even look like the ususal edgy MC, just... some random village kid, or slice-of-life MC, in a scene that does not fit the character.

When you forget to specify art style when you mention medieval... (First attempt)

Also the dude has stubs for legs XD and I don't thing the hand guard of a sword would be very comfortable to rest your head on...

Saw your cover and all, but just being real....it’s not really working for me.

If I saw that as a novel cover, I probably wouldn’t check the story out. Not hating or anything, just being honest.

I’ve been there too though—changed my covers a bunch of times.

I use AI too ‘cause I’m broke, lol.

Quick tip: even if it’s kinda scuffed, try adding a female character or just someone who looks cool and stands out.

Helps catch attention.

I write fanfics btw.

I don't want to be a dick or anything, but he kinda looks like carbon copy of Rudeus, just with brown eyes instead of green
I would go for a reroll and maybe a slight style change.

I do agree that he looks a lot like Rudeus. Also the ai really messed up the perspective for the bottom image. (Also he would sprain his wrist holding a sword like that)
