Necromancer = reply to a very old thread / topic that had been inactive for a long times
Dead digger = responding back to the necromancer

For me, there was an Indian guy on FB asked me how I made my avatar back 2013. I told him I didn't remember which app I used to make the avatar so I will tell him when I found out. Skip to 2019, since the guy was still in my friend list even though we hasn't chatted a thing since 2013, I decided to break the news to him. 6 years and we talked like yesterday.

Many ancient comments on my youtube are all replied by me promptly after I received a response.

Also my avatar would be 10 years old on facebook next year.

oh yeah i do that shit all the time, but more through comments than threads in particular. Either responding to a really old comment or answering people who respond to my old comments.

Especially if its to talk shit or respond to shit talk. Im a very confrontational and opinionated asshole, hence when i see comments i really dislike i cant help but bitch. I speak pretty roughly online, too, so a lot of times people get upset by my word choice and get pissy, and im too much of a petty cunt to not respond in kind.

So yeah. Old comments, whether mine or otherwise, have come up pretty often in my time online. I remember some dude i pissed off was even outright going to all my old comments on disqus and facebook leaving salty replies. And the back-and-forth shit-talking that ensued went on for MONTHS.

I mean, this guy was reminding me of comments i made a decade ago. Honestly his dedication was kinda impressive.

Scribblehub does have a rule that you cannot reply to threads that have been inactive for 3+ months, so please report anyone that necros those threads (unless it's on Community Games. Necro is fine on the Games section).

As for other sites...

Sometimes I leave comments on ages old Youtube Videos just because. I don't do it often, but sometimes I really want to make a comment so... Might as well.

I never reply to actual comment chains that are old though. That just feels like it would annoy the people in question.

And on that note, I hate when people necro old threads in reddit. I remember sometimes getting replies on something and I'm just like... "This is 3 years old, why are you even replying here?"

... Often times I do reply to the person appropriately anyways, but I make sure to point out that the thread is dead and they should leave it dead... Especially when it's something about a game I don't even play anymore and hardly care about anymore, because like... Well, why bother me again on that topic? I'm not even on that subreddit anymore.

So yeah, necro annoys me. I like to see dead threads remain dead~

For me, unless the necro was replying to the old threat for the purpose of spamming, it is an encouraging action.

Spamming = saying nothing relevant to the topic / replying to outdated threads.

Anyway, how has your day been treating you? I am considering watching a classic slasher horror/comedy movie for the evening.

I think I’ve resurrected a thread once or twice but never on purpose I just kind of replied without paying attention to when the last reply was made and one of the threads I made got resurrected a while ago and I replied to that one… I also replied to the happy birthday scribble hub thread whenever it got resurrected-nya.

Odd. I cannot determine if this resurrection is spam. On one hand, TemporarilyHuman's reply is "necroing" an old thread by adding nothing meaningful to the conversation. On the other, the whole topic is about necroid threads, which makes any resurrection on-topic automatically?
