How have you changed since you began writing your story?

Title! I happened to take some time looking back on how things were when I first began publishing the story online. (Also I just discovered that accidentally pressing enter immediately posts the thread, rip)

What's changed for you? Biggest change I could name is that I stopped bothering to check stats, at least not as much. Looking at numbers was pretty fun at first, but now I'm just like...eh, I'd rather go write another sentence than spend time checking stats. I guess that's a good thing!

Other than getting better at writing, I stopped only writing evil protagonists. I check stats way less as well, and I don't think about getting trending as much. The novelty of trending starts to wear off, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want trending still.

I've developed somewhat of a work ethic and a knack for sticking to a schedule. I regularly update every two days now.

Same, looking at stats just hurt my heart, it's up and down everyday, As for my biggest change is, I write more carefully now, always proofread the chapter, and make my progression more realistic.

When I started, I was bright eyed and lacked the horrid knowledge that came with becoming a more seasoned writer. The curse of not being able to enjoy entertainment due to hyperanalysing every writing decision made. Being stressed because despite being a hobby, my mind craves writing the words like a hard drug while my body denies it such a small thing, often due to work and social life. Now, I write and edit with far more care and intention than before. Plus, my words per minute count is significantly better. However, my desire in writing to create more and more is so strong that it hinders my progress. I love to write but it has made many aspects of my life change for better or worse, I do not know.

I have learned so much about history, sciences, anatomy, biology, bushcraft, architecture, sanitation, medicine, surgery that I have become a different person since I first started 2 years ago.

My writing skills improved, yes, but the above information is somehow more valuable than writing skills lol.

My addiction to yuri just became even weirder to the point that I am now even pairing real life people I watch on the streets in my head

My depression has taken a front seat. There's that.
Yay! Your Depression has gained enough self-esteem to sit up front with you!
Baby steps!

My desire to ditch work and write full-time has grown exponentially. I just can't make the jump yet.
I think that is all that changed.
My advice? Unless you are independently wealthy, never go full-time writer, if for no other reason, then having a job can give you lots of material. Instead, I recommend getting a job that gives you lots of free time, Like mine. I work nights and I have a solid 5-6 hours every night to write.

Which I waste on screwing around, but the option is there.

Overnights in the health field where you just make sure people don't die at night is an excellent source of income, while also being an excellent source of writing material. The Schizophrenic with her attempts to team up with one of the voices in her head to murder the other imaginary person has been a wealth of inspiration.

My love for radiation and waves has grown.
I too have increased my love of quantum mechanics.

That has nothing to do with writing.

The thing is because of this I can't write other themes aside yuri now T.T

Where I live, I would be able to go full-time writer with only 800$ per month.

I kinda stuck to the schedule at first. But, now I don't even know what schedule is. I guess that’s because I got busier these days.

I used to write things to use up my free time, but now it helps me in scheduling activities and also being mindful of my surroundings. It is incredibly fun and frustrating to have a burst of inspiration, so nothing better than to manifest it in some way.

I became crueller as a person. I stop cautioning people who are digging their own graves.

Write yuri, but, make it a gender bender for one of the participants, but don't TELL ANYONE, or write it down in the story at any point.

Hmm, got to go with outlining. When I first wrote, I kind of did things on the fly. But now, I write a large outline to organize my ideas :blob_cookie:
