How frequently do you worry about damage to your eye(s)?

I dont wear safety classes as a technician and I have gotten chemical in my eyes and brushed it off for a few minutes rather than immediately to wash it out

I wear glasses, I'm nearsighted. I'm constantly worried about going blind. That lends itself to me fearing the dark, because I fear being unable to see

I only worry when I sit +10 hours on a computer, which is rare for me. Otherwise my eyes are still 20/20
