Pin is a married man in a medieval fantasy world. He and his wife, Molly, had a son and a daughter (11 and 14 years old). Molly contracted a serious illness and was about to die. A rare mystic went through the town. He had the medicine to cure Molly but the price was sky-high and Pin's poverty could not afford the cure.

The mystic sympathised with Pin and told him he would waive the purchase price if he sold his daughter to him. He added 2 conditions in consideration for Pin: 1) he would wait until Molly is returned to healthy before taking his daughter with him and 2) he would not treat his daughter badly.

Write a prompt about Pin saying goodbye to his daughter as well as his internal reasoning to sell his daughter.

In a medieval world based on history, since Pin is not a noble, he might be overjoyed to be rid of a useless daughter, actually... Sons were valuable - they could work the fields, might be able to become knights. Daughters? The best you could hope for was that a noble would take them on as a servant, or some passing traveler would be willing to pay a bride price and take her far away to a life you could imagine would be better, whether it is or not.
For nobles, daughters were a strategic asset, to be used to cement alliances, gain status in society. For commoners? Not so much...

Since it's a fantasy, let's apply modern morality.
