Have you ever tried reading a novel backwards for your first read?

I'm just curious, if you ever tried picking a random novel you haven't read, and just happen to want to read it from last page to the first, instead of the usual order.

How does the experience feel?

You’re very confused and it takes a lot of suspense away as you already know the outcome and all the struggles that lead to the result will feel like filler. The usual satisfaction from reaching the goal after a long journey will be replaced with neutral, “I see, so that lead to that event.”

At the same time you will also have some surprise moments, because you finally know where and when character x appeared and why everyone had the reaction they had when character x was mentioned.

Idk about reading backwards, but sometimes I just read from the last chapters first just to see if the ending is complete trash or not, so I can save time and my expectations by not finishing it.
I don't mind a mediocre beginning or middle, just as long as the end is at least somewhat decent...
