Not to be weird but you know the argument that certain sexual awakenings happen due to being shown it as a child? IE, people who grew up on Disney's Robin Hood becoming furries and people seeing the Hex Girls and having a thing for goths. Well, I wondered if that still applied to ancient Mediterranean kids reading travelogues/legends about the Headless face men and other things turning into developing an attraction. Did they travel to the places mentioned in hopes of finding some headless face-chested cheeks only to be disappointed upon finding the Germanic tribes instead?

It's not that you see something once and are warped, but rather being constantly exposed to something as you develop (and go through puberty) can affect attraction. However, I can imagine at least a few people might've gone through a headless man phase. LOL

I just chuckled a little thinking about the possibility that some people went traveling, looking around eastern Libya and Egypt....hoping to run into these things and being disappointed that everybody had a head.

"Goddamit!!! He's got a head!! And he does too!!! Those guys over there do too!! They all have heads!! Why does everybody have a head!!?? Where is my chest-faced husbando!!!???"

I know they wouldn't have said husbando....but I couldn't help saying it out loud to myself and finding it kinda funny.
