Fact: In Chinese Supernatural Folklore there a practice in which Chinese Mystics (Male or Female - Doesn't Matter) will willingly carry an infant ghost to term and give birth, in order to possess a loyal Ghost Servant(s).

Premise: In a world populated by Martial Artists, Alchemists, Artifact Crafters, and Traditional Chinese Medical Doctors, Metaphysics are few and far between. Yun Fei was born to a powerful Metaphysics Master as his useless ninth Shu Son/Daughter. Not particularly talented in anything but Talismans creation, on Yun Fei's Eighteenth birthday they are horrified to be given the job of birthing ghost Servants for his/her siblings and cousins. Then impregnated by a ghost, Fei's supernatural skills are forcefully unlocked. Thus she/he begins down the path of Ghosts Master/Mistress and Artifact Crafter.

Orthodoxed and Unorthodoxed Metaphysics Abilities: fortune telling, Exorcism, Ghost Servants, Blessings, Curses, Curse Breaking, Communing with the dead, Talismans, Spells

Task: Create a complete outline for this story (chapter by chapter) and write the opening before putting story up for adoption or co-writing it.

(I can be persuaded to assist as either a writer or illustrator (albeit I am only passable as an artist)).

Laughs, "I guess. But I'm not really interested in writing it. I'd be more partial to illustration. I'm also open to anyone taking and just running with it. This is my first post and I didn't want to say "Go write a multiple chapter story amounting to 150k words!"

I mean I’m gonna steal the folklore bit for my TTRPG campaigns, I’m sure I can fit it in somewhere, but I’m already writing a serious story *and* a smutty nonsense story so I’m pretty much topped off there.

If you're up to it I can also recommend you a fan translation of a Chinese BL story which is heavy with the Chinese Folklore. I'm pretty far into the story and the love Interest just appeared.

Eh. It’s more something I’ll add to my toolkit of interesting concepts to use. It might not find a place in one of my games for years, but now I know of something interesting I could use.
