I've got a finished entry in a series and I'm wondering how best to utilize SH's system. Any advice?
Once it finishes, most stories fall off unless if there was an already steady readership. If you continue uploading chapters, then ongoing stories will obviously do way better than completed stories - this has to be spread over time though, like two chapters a week or whatever would fit you better.
Once you finish a story and stop uploading chapters, I'm not entirely sure whether there will be a significant difference shortly after you finish uploading, since some people prefer to look for ongoing stories. However, once some time passes after your last upload (probably ~2 months), stories tagged with "completed" will get significantly more views, and I know that from experience.
I may have worded that badly.Once it finishes, most stories fall off unless if there was an already steady readership.
I meant I'm not sure whether tagging the story as "completed" will cause a significant difference in views than neglecting to use the tag. In both cases it will be significantly less views than an ongoing story would have gotten, yep.Once you finish a story and stop uploading chapters, I'm not entirely sure whether there will be a significant difference shortly after you finish uploading, since some people prefer to look for ongoing stories.
Ah, I see. That is my mistake in misreading what you had said. I agree 100%I may have worded that badly.

Hi, if it's already done completely I would try releasing a tractor every day or so and maybe have some fun polls.I've got a finished entry in a series and I'm wondering how best to utilize SH's system. Any advice?
