Did you ever attend a writing contest? I need some advice.

I'm a new writer,wrting for less than 1 year.
I just saw a wrting contest on TapRead,and not too many writers attending for now,so I think it's a good oppotunity for new writers like me.
And the bonus is good. $1000 for the winners,and a signed contract.
Did Anyone attend a contest like this?
Could you give me some advice on how can a new writer win this contest?

If it really have these prizes, still you said there aint much writers in it, then it's a scam

Tapread is a legit legal translation site, but recently it's been trying to expand to original too. It's owned by Webnovel's competitor.

the first thing you have to do is git gud.

Maybe look at other writing contest winners and see what they did.
