i saw the tag as i was scrolling through the possible tags and am thinking about applying it to my story, even though it's not a term i'd heard before.

my story is about a demon getting a mortal to follow her wants and desires to her own destructive ends, granting her great power along the way. I was wondering if there are specific tropes expected in stories like these, or if smutty stories are not appreciated with that tag.

any reader perspective would be useful :)

What is intended is a xianxia demonic sect cultivation techniques. But I don't think, as a reader, I would mind seeing a different interpretation or usage of a tag like that.

It's for cultivation stories, so Xianxia, Wuxia and Xuanhuan. The Demonic in it refer to how the cultivator will cultivate his/her power. You can use multiple methods for that, sex, killing, stealing, etc....

Exemple: Using sex to steal the energy of the partner.

im gonna have to check some of these out, sounds up my alley but wasn't my intent in writing. i'd never heard of cultivation stories either.
