To clarify, are you talking about the main site or the forum? They have separate toggles, in case that matters.

How to protect your eyes​

Click to your Profile » Choose the Preferences tab » Topmost option will be Style: Choose the Default Dark mode and never look back.

You'll also need to Save your changes.

If you're talking about the main site, it might need to be reset every time you clear your cookies. If you're Incognito or in another Private browsing mode, it'll automatically clear cookies when you exit the window.

SO... Do you still have the problem? If so, could you explain more clearly what the issue is?

It seemed to have fixed itself somehow after a day but nothing I did at the time seemed to do anything. I was on PC /Firefox for the person who asked.

Probably a javascript issue or a plugin on your side blocking javascript. I'm not sure.
