I made the synopsis about why I decided to write the story in the first place since I was curious about whether or not it would work. Does it seem about right from that perspective?
As you could probably tell from my comment, I was under the assumption that you are writing about a guy writing a story. I'm pretty sure many others would feel the same.
So no, it doesn't work, because you did not make it clear that your "synopsis" is why you wrote it, and even if you did make it clear, you should still at least give a general clue about what the story is actually about.
Some people might be interested in why you decided to write the story in the first place, but the synopsis is not the place to do it, and if you want to stick it in there, you shouldn't make it the main focus.
