Collapse/Expand Author Signature on Forums?

Many should know what this is about, and if this is already answered, like in the FAQs please let me know.
Simply put, how do I set the option for when I want to collapse the author signature when posting in forums?
Anyone familiar with Royal Road knows that this is automatically a site feature as a checkmark before posting anything. Just annoying to me when it appears even with replies to commends (even when its my own). Is there instead some way to use div tags or something to collapse it into a button before it shows? It's not what I want to do but I may change my mind about that not long from now. Maybe there is a profile setting I missed?
I like to have the signature show on my first post in a specific forum, but then hide it if I'm replying in the same forum. Seems like a better etiquette.

In [Preferences], under the 'Content options' panel, you can find a check box for 'Show people's signatures with their messages'...

Is that what you're looking for?

For the feature he wants, everyone using a sig would need to use the Spoiler tag on their sigs. Which they don't. LOL.

I get the appeal. You want to browse without sigs but still want to see them when needed without going to profiles.

Use mobile On there, the sigs only come up if you are in landscape mode.

Funny enough, that's a feature I don't like. Lol. Bc I like seeing signatures but hate reading in landscape. XD

Nah, what I mean is, signature would work once, then auto hide or something if in the same forum thread. Nevermind it doesn't sound like it is a feature.
