Hello all! This is a thread listing tags whose definitions should be added/edited for Scribble Hub.

If you didn’t know, there are definitions and use-cases for each of the 700+ tags on SH. The listing was likely transported from Novel Updates, a website for translators and readers. Due to that, some tags’ definitions do not fit a website for authors and readers. I looked through the tags and recorded the ones without definitions and ones which, I believe, require an edit in their phrasing or grammar.
ReasonMeaningExamples
Talks about translationsThe definition either mentions authors/translators/RAWs/Asian novels/Ability for readers to add tags to storiesHandsome Male Lead: "This tag is to be used if the male lead is handsome. The descriptions should be what the author has written, and not what the fans fantasize.

Oneshot: "This tag is only to be used for novels with one chapter that consists of its beginning and its ending in its RAW form, even if the translators decide to separate the oneshot into parts. This tag should not be confused with Short Story tag or Collection of Short Stories tag.”

Cultivation: A tag that is typically used only for Chinese cultivation novels. Body tempering refers to the protagonist going through some cultivation process to temper/strengthen the body. It is recommended to use this tag only when the physical prowess of the protagonist lets him/her do miraculous things.
Requesting DefinitionThere is no definition, only a request for users to suggest a definition on the Cleaning Up Tags on NU thread on NUF.Beastkin: "Locked. Propose a definition here: http://forum.novelupdates.com/threads/cleaning-up-tags-on-nu-v2-0.40496/"
GrammarThere are capitalization issues, spelling mistakes, coherency issues, or all three.Cousins: "children of brothers or sisters”

Elves: "This tag is to be used if the Elven race exist within the story and an Elve is either the protagonist or either one of his companions/friends/Lovers”

Magical Technology: "Many Technology based Magic inside the story"

Thank you so much for this! It's very helpful (But I still don't know what a "System" is?)
There is currently no “System” tag. However, a “System” is usually shorthand for “Level System” or another similar game-like element. For example, a 'Succubus System' would mean the character levels up or gains abilities by doing things a succubus would do.

Thank you for the explanation! I've still got much to learn

Is most stuff on this site explicit? ? ?
