Some of us like to hang out on profile pages more than the forums... but one stifling thing is the character count. However, I am not so greedy as to ask for more than the current 420 character limit.
Instead, I opt for the most efficient use of the things we have, and to do this I suggest having a.... 75% opacity, numeric indicator in the bottom corner showing what the current character count is when typing up the profile post. That would make the experience more pleasant since I know where I have to stop talking and start another post.
Alternatively, in the rejection pop up tell us how much over the character limit we are, then it's easier to adjust the post... since I use ellipses....overly much
