For some reason, I can't save, publish or schedule my chapter drafts. This has been happening for at least a day.

When clicking "Save Draft", it'll just be stuck on "Saving..." for an indefinite amount of time. When scheduling, the button greys out once I press it and nothing changes.

(I can access the rest of the site just fine.)

EDIT: The moment I posted this thread, it finally worked. How??

EDIT 2: Nevermind, it's broken again.

I had the same issue a couple of times, as far as I know it was caused by poor internet connection. My solution (as much as it's a solution) was to copy the whole chapter and reset the page.

The problem is still there, but I believe my internet is the problem here.

I'll just switch over to data whenever I'm ready to save draft/publish, thanks!

Sorry for necro, but the issue is back again. Switching to data does nothing, nor does resetting the cookies. I also just learned that updating a published chapter works fine. I am using Firefox, issue doesn't seem to happen in Edge (but who uses Edge anyways?)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it happens on Firebox but not on Edge, it could be an issue with one of your plugins. I can't seem to create the bug on Firefox on my side.

I would recommend disabling your plugins one by one to see which plugin is causing the issue. If you know how to check for console errors on Firefox, please post the error here.

I have uninstalled every plugin/extension I had on Firefox, no dice. Tried resetting the cookies again, still doesn't work. And now Edge won't work either. I am currently incapable of editing my existing chapters at all (Published or Draft alike).

Update: It works, but it's very weird and inconvenient. If the chapter is small enough and I edit it directly on SH's editor, things go smoothly. But as soon I try to update a large chapter, it won't work. BUT, if I copy and paste that chapter's content onto Google Docs and then copy and paste from Docs back to SH's editor, it suddenly works again... ???????

Here are some symptoms that I could gather:
-Save Drafts, Publish, Update and Schedule won't work. Once I press any of them, the buttons freeze (Saving.../Publishing.../etc.) and nothing will happen no matter how long I wait.
-The buttons work if there are no edits made in the chapter.
-Creating new chapters works fine.
-As I mentioned above, copying and pasting the chapter back and forth onto Docs works, for some reason.

My only guess was there's some sort of formatting/character that prevents me from updating a chapter and they were removed when I paste it onto Docs. But, I'm not a tech guy, what do I know?

Please, I need to know what causes this so I can fix it (if it was on my end). Looking forward to any response!

Update 2: Sometimes it works, sometimes it won't, I don't even know anymore.

Is there anyway for you to create this bug 100% of the time? It'll be hard for me to debug it otherwise as I don't see the issue on my side.

I'll try and find what causes the problem, but so far, it has been random. How likely is it that this was all due to bad wifi connection?
