Resolved Can't comment even though email confirmed

The comments section on stories says this:

Please confirm your email first. You cannot post comments until your account is confirmed.

However, I can see on my account page that my email address is confirmed. Even tried changing and confirming a different address. Same result. Weird thing is that it all worked the day I created my account.

IIRC, just like ratings you also have to add it to your reading list before you can comment.

That makes a lot of sense. Unfortunately, that message even shows up on stories I have added to my reading list.

Ah - then I misunderstood the question given the title. It may require 24 hours after verification for it to count or something? Though it sounds like something went wonky and this does belong as a bug report.
