I read about a rare blood type that there are not many in the world. It makes me wonder. Can I ask a medical expert to extract a portion of my blood every once in a while storing it in a deep freeze preserver to use it later on when I need to make a surgery?

Is the idea of saving blood for use 20-30 years later possible with the current technology?

Blood donation is a thing. Blood safekeeping can be a thing if you pay $$$ for that. All you need is intent, persuasion with a blood bank, and big (or small) bux to do it, I see no reason that you can't do it.

No.
Blood, if property stored, has a shelf life only about 30 days.
In the hypothetical scenario where you had some kind of accident soon after the blood donation, and you have a rare blood type, there is a certain statistical chance you might be given the blood you previously donated, but even if that is the case, you would need to be given more blood than you could give to last through most major surgeries.

You can store it if you want to use it for other things. For example, maybe you want it for blood runes, or in some real-life cases paintings.

storing for 20-30 years is impossible right now with the current technology we have, especially for humans, if we were to try to freeze the red blood cells now, it would just go into shock because of the ice crystals and uneven freezing of the liquids inside the cell and outside it causing multiple ruptures and etc.

maybe if you ferment it, 30 years later it'd be like fine wine for vampires. who knows, you probably can profit.

if the blood type of rare, the price can be even higher.
