So earlier I made a thread in the author general to ask writers if they find comedy or drama harder to write. But then I got more curios about the topic, now I want to ask the readers, what would you prefer?

Extra question: What would you normally think a novel contain both genres has?

They are both on the same level of difficulty to write. However, the real skill comes from being able to write both of them together in a way that flows well. A story that contains both well done comedy and drama will be a much more enjoyable experience for us than drama or comedy alone.

If we had to only pick only one though, then we'd pick comedy. We deal with enough drama from writing our own stories. lol

Drama is harder to write, but conversely more people are dramatic than genuinely funny.
