“Super Supportive”: Traumatize the child

I was reading Super Supportive’s latest chapter, and Stuart’s backstory absolutely broke me. It was shockingly innovative, and I never expected it but it made so much sense, built on an amazingly deep character built off his interactions with the mc.
What are some particularly traumatizing kids’ backstories that made you think “Wow. The writer really had it in for this child.”

Right?? It’s wild! Every single arc I can just return to over and over, like the Kivbee and Alden stranded arc or the Alden stranded in flood zone arc or the obstacle course superhero stuff.
And it balances it out with the most delectable slice of life I’ve ever read!
