Have you ever felt empty after seeing other people's achievement and thought you'd never surpass them no matter how hard you tried, losing your motivation to do anything? If so, what did you do to get through that time?
The protagonist's death started a chain of events around the people they left behind. Being dead, the protagonist doesn't know and can't do anything about it. They're just a corpse who tells no tales. Something like Now That I’m Dead, are you Satisfied? But longer.
... Will you still read their stories if you like it? There are some famous authors with problematic attitude out there, does it discourage you from reading their works? What will you do if they keep replying to your comment with an insult and you know they are not being tsundere?
We all know Scribbly isn't the only website to read stories online. It's a derivative of Novelupdates so I expected some of us have been there before.
Do you read original stories from other sites? Fanfictions don't count.
I'm not talking about random encounters or nameless mobs. The characters at least must have significance with the plot or is closely related to the major characters in a way that their death will have an impact towards them.
The rate of people dying also depends on the story's genre, I guess...
