Somehow VN’s do horror better than anime. Despite loving horror, the only horror anime that was ‘scary’ is Yamishibai. Even then it wasn’t really scary. Ghost Hunt and Perfect Blue are also better than let’s say Shiki, but all of these are outpaced by horror VN’s imo.

I usually get severe writers block after getting ~10k words written. However I take it as my code of conduct never to delete a story. No matter how much I wish to delete The Mist of Love….

I once read 1.2k chapters of a CN where every ten chapters was a cycle of face slapping scenes. The only reason I stuck by for so long was the good worldbuilding, but somewhere around the 700th chapter every part of the story was slowly hijacked by the face slapping scenes… Found it...

Think I still prefer Higurashi to Umineko, however Umineko is better/has a higher quality than Higurashi in pretty much every regard. It is hard to describe further than I prefer the sustained horror of Higurashi to the sustained mystery of Umineko. Both are great however. Better than anything...
