It would have to be highly customizable to be useful. I've had autosavers destroy hours of work too, unintentionally. Some browsers come with this baked in, but mine doesn't work of course.

You have to use the hyperlink specific to the direct image url, which means "opening image in new tab" and using that link. Postimg and archive.org work okay for us.
