A number of cloud trees have been observed sending high frequency signals to all trees, to coat their bark in clear, honey-like sap as proof of strength against volatile weather.
However, the trees sending the signals are frequently found with the faintest traces of the substance, or none at all.
Further studies are required to find whether the sap is truly valued or a detriment.

Cloud trees have been observed releasing highly volatile pollen into the orchard while simultaneously announcing, through high-frequency signals beyond the range of human hearing, that the pollen may be dangerous.
The warnings do not prevent the dispersal.
Purpose of this behavior remains unclear.
