Because it doesn't matter if you hunt witches or not, the problem is if you burn an innocent person at the stake just because you think they're a witch.
I think all you can really do is keep trucking and have confidence in yourself. If everyone believed my writing was ai, I'd keep writing because that's what I like doing. I would trust my writing to prove itself. If they don't believe me, that's okay. They'll miss out.
Unfortunately; the prevalence of AI reliance in creative endeavors and AI scammers pumping out generated narratives has necessitated caution and mistrust. Bad actors, including those who rely on LLMs themselves, will project and recriminate in such an environment. If you aren't using or relying on AI carry on and don't worry about what others think.
When the time comes that AI writing is impossible to distinguish from humans we will be very close to our extinction event. And in niche circles that still want human works, authors will have to write on paper with a witness to verify authenticity.
