Authors underestimate cover.

Nowadays, its no longer "dont judge by the cover" but "zoomers 200% judge by the cover".

Its by the principle most-of-the-times bad covers = bad product (like games).
Because there is the principle : why bother with something that its creator didnt do efforts to make it attractive?

But also bc there is far more "other choices". We are in 2026 where you have HUNDREDS of other stuff available. Or you can even MTL
=Why risk a potential bad read?

And the 1% of finding a good story with bad cover, is not worth it for lot of people.

Things is, to be a good creator, you need to understand the thinking of their customers(readers).

A good artist is someone that have seen lot of art.
A good mangaka is someone that read lot of mangas or trained under one.

Reason about good indie games = they are gamers first, creators second.

ps: sorry for the spam.

@Tsuru Indeed, I'm still figuring out about the behavior here. Including the cover taste! hahahaha

Still, for now my priority is writing for fun, because i found a joy while writing stories!
BUT, that doesn't mean i'll not pursue viewership at all. For now i'll stay with my signature art while figuring how to attract viewers with my own style.
