I don’t really understand why people don’t just post on a site that accepts AI works instead of trying to swim upstream in a river that clearly doesn’t accept them. It just feels like a lot of pointless work. Same with translations. (I read translations slops) isn’t it just easier that way?

They don't realize that their stuff is just like the same as 900 others before them. Because they don't read, or I don't know. I check out a lot of threads when they are made, and every time someone asks for feedback, etc, and I go look at the chapters... I am greeted with the same type of cadence and verbiage.

I just don’t understand the point of going through all that work when you can just move it to a site that is okay with it. It’s like trying to force a square block through a circle hole. Instead of moving a few inches and putting it through the correct one.

Hardly. Their motion is perfectly logical. They want as much exposure as they can get at any price. They know perfectly well that they are not welcome here, but they do not care. As long as there are no serious repercussions, they will try to push it.

I guess. They’d rather be the tail of a dragon than the head of a snake. Yay that makes sense. I’m not a writer so I don’t have much animosity towards AI slop its just kind annoy that a thread is open like once every week about how AI writing is actually totally okay and that they deserve everything and more that people who spend time learning the art and fail over and over to get where they are get.

I have a feeling they just like the attention. I just can’t fathom any other reason. They make a story they obviously don’t have any emotion connection to then they go to forum and post something that’s obviously going to cause a huge scourge then they talk as though they are trying to agree with you while always saying “but, I’m right” it’s that whole one foot in one foot out attitude.
