Well, I guess you could take it as a special form of compliment in that you made the reader think and process what you'd written?
Not to sound like a broken record, but ORV had moments that really made you have to put on your big brain cap in order to understand what was going on and being discussed by the characters.
I like stories that challenges me to think. If I am reading it straight up and not understanding, it is fun to tackle it from another angle. Which may require multiple turning wheels.

Though, put in the effort. And I ensure to deliver the rewards.
You’re dealing with a lot of metaphors and imageries. Think more like a rhythm, and that rhythm links into complex reveals. Emotions, depth of action, story, lore, etc.
You’d be lucky if it is within the 150k to 200k range. ?
