  • So, I wonder if it is just me. Though, have you all noticed the Japanese game developers trying to appeal to the western audience for a while now? This is typically with the larger publishers.

Though, I’ve noticed it due to the hit in quality in an attempt to appeal to the western rather than their own. :blob_hmm:

I don’t pay much attention to it. Since I usually play smaller developer games, and some mid now and then.

Idk it could be viewing the past in rose tinted glasses or the consequences of comparatively lower barriers to publish.

Japan has also for years been incorporating more English loan words because the nation thinks it sounds cool.

For every one amazing game, you’ll be going through probably a hundred not even ‘good’ ones. The amazing ones raises the bar very high, but then you go through so many, that you realized why you lowered the bar.

Just to find another amazing one again, and forget why you lowered the bar in the first place. Is it an opinion, is it a fact? Who knows, all we do know. Is that iguanas are number 1.
    Truckin’ With Val # 2

Ever wondered why an antagonist just can’t win in most scenarios? It is because they trigger something traumatic.

Like killing a puppy, and now a guy comes out of retirement and has the thickest plot armor to ever exist.

Tip: Just leave pupper alone, they are more important than the wife apparently.

If you have ever wondered about exploring a haunted house in the middle of the woods, or going to a petting zoo like a normal person.

Go to the damn petting zoo, I mean seriously. Haven’t you seen all those horrors, legends, supposed documentaries, etc? :blob_hmm:
I wonder how many is gonna get a certain connection when Chapter 7 reveals. Nothing with the story, that’s the easy part.

You see, when I write. I also leave stuff that cannot be figured out that easily.

The main clue comes with a certain reveal in Chapter 7. From there, taking that clue and connecting it to another character will reveal the secret. :blob_popcorn:

Other than that, the only other clue you get is the tone of the story. It specifically beats down the emotions for a reason other than for the heart wrenching stuff. :blob_popcorn:

While looking for a game to buy. Found nothing, since Steam recommendations are ass, worst recommendation and search tool. Plus found nothing on Steampeek.

I ended up seeing a video on the Japanese dude who escaped prison four times. The last was a maximum security prison he escaped from while on death row. This was back in the 1930’s to like 1947.

    Escape 1:

    Lock picking skills.

    Escape 2

    Wall climbed.

    Escape 3:

Over a long period of time, he rusted the steel that bound his arms and legs. Then slipped through a small opening in the door.

    Escape 4:

    Dug a hole.

    XD

He had some abilities though. Even for the time, given how bad the Japanese handcuffs were. He was strong enough to break them.

His body could be adjusted to slip through very ridiculous situations.

He was strong enough to wall climb and slowly break down the bars at the top.

He was calculating to know the structure in order to dig a hole to escape his fourth time. Which he was being watched around the clock.

His lock picking abilities likely came from his experience in a gang. Though, to escape prison four times. Goes beyond such skill set. The guy was pretty intelligent.
I did it again, forgot to put the title of my book. Though, at least I caught it far sooner this time. :blob_neutral:
Ya know, I remember I liked Special A years ago. Though, I am afraid to rewatch it due to the whole Toradora thing.

I thought Toradora was great years ago, in my teenage years. Then when I watched it again like a decade ago. Let’s just say it was a terrible mistake. :blob_no:

I’m not sure what happened. At the age of 15 I think I was, loved Toradora. At the age of 20, my world came crashing down. ?

    Good night. :blob_ghost:
Ya know, I have come to terms that I cannot write a story without it going off the rails in some way. I mean hell, a Christmas Special turned into a mob story. And an iguana set fire to a stronghold, then ate popcorn as he watched it burn down. :blob_hmm:
Ya know, I just realized I haven’t commented on a story in forever. That is I have also not read a web novel in forever.

I just much prefer VN’s. :meowsip:

Phantom Rose series was another one I liked a lot. First game if I remember right though, was more visual than words.

You had to collect diaries to fit together the story properly.

Second game is both visual and words.

Both games, you play through all the bad ends before getting the True End. Think of it like a loop.

You fellas ever go on a forum, someone asked you how you did something. You are about to answer, then see how long it would take to explain, and lose energy and just decide not to respond?

Yeah, that happens to me. :meowsip:

There are four bosses that can practically kill you in one hit or close. The first boss of the second half of the game.

If assassinate hits, it kills you.

The second to last boss does extremely high damage that could pretty much kill in one hit if your life isn’t at least around 5k or close.

First bonus boss will instantly kill you after a certain amount of turns. Second bonus boss practically keeps you at 1 HP due to an attack, which means any slight thing can kill you.
My headphones broke in the most unexpected way. Apparently the usb piece got stuck, and can’t be removed. Have to buy a new one. To make things worse, I am close to the end of the game. So, gotta wait until a new headset arrives. :blob_catflip:
